Mary’s Cradle could not run without our volunteers. We have 3 ladies that are dedicated to volunteering every week by sorting clothes, doing laundry, hanging clothes, and/or serving clients. We have a lady that comes to get the clothes that need mended and she brings them back to us as good as new. We have also become creative in our requests for service: we have 2 volunteers who serve in their home laundering items for distribution, volunteers who commute once a month [almost two hours one way!] to assist in organizing our donated clothes, church groups and service groups who donate time and materials throughout the year. We have a volunteer through the WV Works Program as well, and are grateful for her hard work and dedication.
Please be encouraged to volunteer even if your time or resources are limited. (one lady comes in just one hour per week and she is a huge blessing!) If you are restricted by prohibitive time constraints, we can try to work something out so that we all can be blessed by your service.
Jennifer started working at Mary's Cradle in 2010. She assists in the office and wherever needed. In January of 2011 she became a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. She loves the Lord and has a servant's heart and we are thankful she is a part of this ministry.
Francis Coffey serves as the Director of Mary's Cradle. In February of 2010 she was commissioned by the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church as a Church and Community Worker. She served at Mary's Cradle part time from 2007-2011 and feels overjoyed to continue to be a part of this Maternal and Infant Resource Center. Francis is also a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. She is thankful for the opportunity to joyfully serve God's creation with humility and gladness.
